In 2009, Comfort Zone introduced itself to the Boston-area by holding two one-day mini-camps. The mini-camp format fits the Comfort Zone Camp program into one day and also allows for adult support at the same location but separate from the kids. It was a successful debut with 106 campers and 80 parents experiencing the magic of Comfort Zone! After only one day, camper parents wrote the following reflections:
"I wasn't sure where my kids were on their journey but I thought camp would help them, but at the same time I thought it may open up the wounds. I could not have been more wrong. CZC Camp helped them all in so many ways. When we left there I saw the hugest smiles on their faces and especially with my daughter who is 13, I had not seen that in a long time."

“Going here was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
- Camper
"Now I know why they call it a 'Healing Circle'...That's a good name for it. I feel so much better now, like a weight has been lifted off of my chest."
- Camper
"As a licensed therapist I can't express how amazing this program is for the children who participate. Observing their growth over the course of the weekend is truly breathtaking.”
